The design, manufacturing and testing of a miniaturised singlet plastic injection molded high-numerical aperture objective is discussed. To reduce the temperature dependence a non-periodic phase structure is incorporated in the aspherical surface of the lens. Readout experiment with this objective in an optical drive is performed.
